The opportunity to develop the paint scheme for McLeod’s air show plane still ranks as a career highlight. Calling on various influences in Pete’s life, from his father’s service in the RCAF to his ‘full throttle’ attitude, the final design truly represents his spirit.
There were many key considerations throughout the process unique to working with airplanes. These planes are still painted, and all the limitations that come with this process had to be kept in mind. Propellers and vinyl wrapping were strictly off-limits.
Pete McLeod, and this plane, were featured on Discovery Channel’s new series Airshow.
