Nada Toothbrush

Despite being a hygienic tool, most toothbrushes are actually quite unhygienic. Little grooves and grip details give ample area for bacteria and other nasties to build up all over the handle. The 'ergonomic' profile means you can't set it down *anywhere* without getting the bristles covered in whatever is on the counter. And when it comes to the environment, the comoulded handle on most brushes means that it doesn't matter what material they're made of—they will never be recycled. Those grip details also encourage over brushing, much to your dentist's dismay.

When designing the Nada, the stand-out feature is the replaceable brush heads. 80% less plastic is used compared to a conventional manual toothbrush, and the brush heads can be sent back to Nada for proper recycling (even the bristles!). There's a lot more to it than that, though. The aluminum handle, which you keep forever, is smooth to be easily cleaned and give bacteria nowhere to hide. The flattened top and bottom allow enough surface for your fingers to get purchase without encouraging over brushing, while also allowing you to set the brush down on the counter and keep it from rolling away—keeping your brush head clear of that mystery stain.

Following after the successful product launch, we also developed a kids' size toothbrush handle and an aluminum stand, allowing you to display your brush on the counter proudly whilst giving it the opportunity to drain off into the easy-clean drip tray of the two-part stand.

As of November 2025, Nada has helped divert over 350,000 plastic toothbrushes from landfills and waterways, over 1600 five-star reviews, and received the "Best Sustainable Manual" toothbrush from Yahoo!Health.
